I remember when people would mostly retweet instead of favorite tweets. Looking back at tweets from '10, '11, '12, somebody would get like 3k retweets and 1k favorites on a tweet, for example, but now it's the other way around. Is this something that happened gradually and quietly or was there something specific that triggered it?
Idk why, but it kinda irks me. I still prefer to retweet things.
Favouriting tweets has become so unnecessary. Having thousands of favourites is useless because you can't look through them ALL. Kinda defeats the point. I wish I could remove all mine and start from scratch.
I've always favorited more but I only retweet/favorite funny tweets.
My rule is if it sounds like something I would say, RT. If it's something hilarious that I could never come up with or something that's not funny enough for a RT, I favorite it.
As written above, it's Twitter's like button. I feel like people favorite tweets when they like them but don't wanna spam their followers with them. Sometimes I favorite article links when I can't read them immediately and I know a lot of people do too...
