I tried making a blog, so don't punish me Mod's. No one slightly helped me out there, so I'm making one here.

Since yesterday, Last.fm has been down? So I try to log into MSN. I'm talking about the site itself. Nothing works on www.msn.com, at least for a while. Late last night, eventually the links worked. Weird? Or was it just the site?

Actually, has I type this, MSN still doesn't work. I can't check my email. I click on "Hotmail" and nothing happens, it's like the link is dead and it doesn't compute.

Since Hotmail is considered "Live" as well has the 'Messenger Live' software does that mean you can't sign into the Messenger because the "Hotmail" site is down? Or is it just my computer? Why hasn't MSN worked since yesterday (9/9/09)?

And Last.fm is STILL down. I don't get it...

Ohhh I forgot to say, when I did the troubleshoot on my Messenger, it said something about "Key Ports" not working and i don't understand that...

I really wish I could check my email but I c an't, and it's making me frustrated.

I'm starting to wonder if it's the Spybot software I download a while ago that is causing this. It's been acting weird lately, it doesn't do a full scan anymore and says 837 files are in use and it takes 10 seconds to scan and it gives me weird results.

So I unistalled it last night. I think I need to get to Best Buy asap and get some updated Virus scans and Anti-Spyware software (they both expired last year and I haven't had the money to replace them yet, which is why I downloaded Spybot off the internet) =X

Do you think Spybot infected my computer? But that's a reliable program, I don't understand how that would affect MSN's Hotmail.

HOLY BALLS! When I downloaded Spybot, I noticed my "Weather" in my area said New York. I tried changing it, but when I did, it said my hometown was accurate but yet when I hit save, it kept saying New York's weather. This is on the MSN homepage in the top right corner.

Now after deleting it, it's back to my hometown!? Now I'm starting to wonder...

Anyways, I just got paid yesterday and I think I'm going to rush to Best Buy today and get some new Virus and Anti-Spyware programs that are not outdated. For some reason I'm freaking out. I don't get why my MSN's Weather suddenly went back to my Hometown after saying "New York" since I downloaded the Spybot program.

Plus I worked 8 hours overtime last week (total of 48 hours ) About 100 bucks extra on my paycheck, but that's on my next paycheck!

If no one helps me Mod's you can delete this...but I would appreciate it if someone could explain something. Like does your MSN hotmail work? Does your last.fm work? Or if anyone knows anything about Spybot? LOL I'm leaving before I ***** this thread up again. Be back later with new softwares!

You should just download the free version of AVG antivirus software. It is pretty good for free software.

Is that what you have? It's safe? I thought Spybot was safe, but I'm re-thinking that now...

I went to downloads.com and it's hard to rely on stuff put online vs. stuff you buy at the store.

Mine didn't work either! It tried to sign me in for like 2 minutes and then te program crashed (white screen) and had to kill the process in the task manager.

According to my new Norton Antivirus I had these two Trojan horse's on my computer It says the risk is high.

I looked it up on Wiki and That must mean the Hacker had to be in New York. It explains everything now. No wonder my MSN's homepage Weather said "New York" when I had it. I also swore someone hacked into my MSN account because there was this one Email I don't remember reading but when I logged into it, it said I read it.

Can someone help me? Like explain the seriousiness of those two viruses? It says the program got rid of them, but I'm freaking out now. I read the first Trojan Horse on Wiki and it says it can have control of my computer and stuff.

Bad thing is, I pay my bills online. What is the risk? Should I be worried? Should I do something with my banking online, like cancel it and change my log in procedures? I'm like worried now. I've had these viruses for who knows how long and nothing has happened yet to me but what if someone has my personal information now?

get rid of them asap
you can try the kaspersky or bitdefender trial for 30 days
imo those are the best and for 30 days you can keep ur computer clean
you should buy an antivirus tho... are a bit expensive but you can be safe for a year

oh and BTW! if you made a payment by internet these days you sould call the bank to see if the money has been discounted and tell them about the situation to see if they can help to keep your money safe... at least here in my country in the banks there is a kind of ensurance in case of these things... i expect that in the US be that kind of things too

AVG removed it. Don't worry too much, it's not a virus itself, it's just "malware".

Well I got them removed, I just hope nothing serious happens. My computer hasn't been acting weird, but I do banking online and I should probably make sure nothing bad happens now...

but i havent been on msn in ages, but it always works for my on the laptop but never does on the other pc so maybe thats the problem.

I know it's not my computer cause I tried logging into my email on my Mom's computer and it wouldn't work. So it's MSN. When are they going to fix this f'king problem? It's been three days now I need to check my stupid mail.
