Mmmkay, educate me. What is racism to you? Do you see a difference between personal and systematic racism? We can agree that in the West, white racism isn't anywhere near as bad as black racism, but do you think it exists? If not, why not?

Ok, I'll start.
White racism is prevelant, Tumblr's 'I want to be more oppressed than I actually am' mob is partly responsible for the mindset that all whites are evil, and the sooner this is realised the better

Racism to me is when people are being treated differently (positive or negative) based on their race.
However, when it comes to dating (going slightly off topic), when people say "I wouldn't date an asian" I wouldn't consider that racist but more of a preference. Just how people like athletic guys, or guys with beards, those are all preferences.

This might surprise you but racism existed before tumblr. Also white racism isn't real. From a white to another...

Yeah, I agree with this. Different races tend to have different characteristics, which is a perfectly reasonable explanation. I don't have a preference and it varies (Asians rn  ) but I wouldn't judge someone unless it was a huge stereotype.

I'm black, and I believe black people and other minorities can be racists to anyone, but the difference being that whites will never be victims of institutionalised and systematic racism in the ways that minorities can. I feel the whole "PoC can't be racist!!!!!!" thing was created by PoCs who want to say ignorant **** about white people, but not wanting to receive flack.
Although alot of white people however do need to understand that getting clocked on their white privilege and having their feelings hurt isn't racism towards them

I wouldn't argue that this is really even a thing
Internet activism has birthed an onslaught of jokes and insults aimed at humiliating Whites,
but White people have never been discriminated against to the point where they were made to feel unsafe or less-than-human simply because of the color of their skin
The worst y'all get is wise cracks about stringy hair and poorly seasoned food
Which isn't to say that PoC can't be racist
They can't institute a system of racism that will disadvantage White people for generations,
but they can still make rude, offensive, racially charged comments

Certainly not in the West for the forseeable future, but definitely in some other countries there are examples.

Honestly, and pocs can be racist towards other poc and it bugs the **** outta me when they act like they can't be racist cuz they're poc.
...if that makes any sense

Yeah, which is personal racism. I'm not being delusional and saying that whites are being systematically racially discriminated against in the West, but on a personal level yes, and in other countries/societies there are examples.

Tru but that's not the majority. Like let's focus on Zimbabwe while black kids are being shot daily and thousand are being murdered in Africa with the USA admitting they have the power to stop it but it's not in their 'interest '

So, racism against whites in Zimbabwe doesn't matter because there are more important issues like racism towards the black majority in Africa?

Well, if this personal racism is not interfering with your ability to live a fairly normal life and get a job that allows you to eat all the poorly seasoned liver and onions you want, then what's the problem?
