Katy Perry: The “I Kissed a Girl” singer’s exes include Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy, ex-husband Russell Brand and deejay Diplo (who’s done his part to stoke the Swift/Perry rivalry). And of course, a certain singer named John Mayer, whom she’s rumored to have reunited with earlier this year.
Taylor Swift: The “Red” singer has an eclectic mix of celebrity exes, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Conor Kennedy and Taylor Lautner. Not to mention she also had a dalliance with John Mayer that reportedly inspired her infamous kiss-off “Dear John.”
WINNER: Katy Perry (since she’s reportedly back with their mutual ex)
CELEBRITY BFFS
Katy Perry: Her circle of famous BFFs include Rihanna (although they’re apparently on the outs) and Kate Hudson. (She’s not friendless though: The star recently flew out 70 pals to Paris for her 30th birthday.)
Taylor Swift: Where to start? Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Haim, Selena Gomez – there’s a reason there is a whole photo gallery dedicated to her famous friends.

SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCE
Katy Perry: She was the first to achieve more than 50 million followers on Twitter, and with 64 million Twitter followers to date, she has the No. 1 most followed Twitter account.
Taylor Swift: The star trails her rival with “only” 51 million Twitter followers (and ranks No. 4 on the “most followed” list).
But on the other hand, she’s been very savvy about the power of social media: She shared pics of her all-star birthday blowout (attended by Beyoncé, Jay Z and Justin Timberlake) that made her the envy of every celeb and non-celeb. Most recently, she struck back at hackers with a clever message that made her look strong rather than a victim.

How can you even take this article seriously? Why do celebrity friends and social media followers carry the same weight as music accomplishments?
The fact that they even mention Love Life shows how sexist this entire article is. Yeah let's measure their super-stardom by how many failed marriages they have! They don't do that crap to male artists do they? Yeah let's compare how many times Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean have been divorced in order to compare their musical careers. Or say Prince was as accomplished as Bruce Springsteen because they both have had two wives.
It's a shameful article.
Also Taylor has 4 no 1 albums, not 3.

They're not super close. I've said this before but she def is much closer to her real friends/team.
Katy said in BB that her only close celeb friends are pretty much Adele, Ellie, and Rih but Taylor seems to LOVE to spend a lot of times with other celebs. Just an observation.

I've seen a couple of these kinds of comparisons and I always laugh at how they have to ignore Taylor's massive success and bring up arbitrary things like "love life" in order to declare Katy the winner or to "tie it up". Fact is, Taylor is more successful and more respected so she wins.
