Mary Cheney, the openly gay daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, posed a thorny question on a private Facebook message obtained by CNN.
In it, Cheney—who is married to wife Heather Poe and mother to their two children—asked why it’s “socially acceptable” for drag queens to lampoon women, while white people are (rightfully) lambasted if they put on blackface.
Black face has a history entrenched with hatred and racism.
Drag is directly correlated to the relationship gay and trans people have with gender, and it's mainline message is an attempt to dismantle the notion of gender.
Do your research before you speak Mary. But then again what else would you expect from a Cheney but uneducated drivel without acknowledging arguments on opposing sides to their flimsy argument.
