The showing of the tattoos and the whole beard thing and semi dressed down look suggests he's trying to go for a more "masculine" look but the heels throws it off.
As for the title, it's meh. Both of his studio albums were good, FYE was way better than Trespassing, but both highlight the fact that he shines on balladry (A Loaded Smile, Broken Open, Broken English, Chokehold, Underneath) much more than up tempos. Hopefully this album lets go of the cheesiness.
