My question is, why is Firework alone more remembered than all of Lady Gaga's pre-Artpop era singles combined?

Is it because Lady Gaga's singles are now forgotten, or is there another reason why nobody is buying all of Gaga's twelve pre-2013 singles combined as much they are buying just one Katy song?
