Fox entertainment chairman Gary Newman confirms for TV Insider (aka TV Guide Magazine‘s new website) that the network is developing an X-Men TV series — no easy feat, given that while 20th Century Fox has film rights to the specially abled characters, any live-action TV project requires the blessing of Marvel, which is based out of ABC parent Disney.
Idc, make it happen. It would be nice to see the mutants who didn't make it in the movies get portrayed on the small screen. Hellion, Berzerker, Cannonball, etc.
The fact that most X-Men and Fantasic Four comics are being put on the back burner by Marvel in favor of boosting Inhumans and other Marvel Studio owned franchises strikes me as a move that Disney/Marvel don't want this to happen unless they gain some rights back or get a bigger say in it.

They better figure it out because I want this. It shouldn't be so hard to work together and co-produce this stuff.
I hope they put it on FX. Network would just make it too generic from too much interference IMO. I hope I'm wrong and it turns out to be good because X-Men is such a perfect foundation for a series.
But either way, I hope they focus on lesser known mutants and include Danielle Moonstar - mainly because she's awesome and it would be nice to see a Native American superhero on television.

They're only trying to make this happen so they'll (FOX) keep the rights to X-Men, they need to just finish their films up with Apocalypse and let the rights go back to Marvel
