I have a little Beyoncé story. I worked on her video for the Austin Powers movies back whenever that was. It was just at the beginning of her ascent into the stratosphere of fame. I had met her before with DC with Ru at the Divas performance and found her to be lovely. This time however was different... She was of course charming and engaging... But as I was looking at her I had the palpable and visceral realization of this is what a star is.... She radiates power. So we were in the dressing room, just her and I doing getting ready chit chat and I casually said ...Look at how this is all happening for you, when do get a break? She said I haven't had a day off in over a year, I get a couple of days off next week. And the her eyes welled with tears and she went on... I am so tired, but I am so blessed, I have this window of opportunity and I have to work it, I want this. She took a deep breath and shook off the moment and we continued on.... But in that moment my respect was solidified and I felt blessed that she felt safe enough with me for a moment of vulnerability.
I don't particularly want to hear about wether you love or loathe Beyoncé. This is just a little snippet of an inside view of a remarkable woman. Enjoy
It's so great things to see things have come full circle for her.
The hive complains about her not promoting as much anymore, but it's great that she's in a place where she doesn't have to slave herself and still gets to have success doing what she loves all while enjoying the perks if her hard work.
She is such an example and a role model for me. The very definition of someone that accomplished almost everything she ever dreamt of through hard work, persistance and pure talent. No wonder she became the defining star of our generation.
I love the way people that encounter have the most lovely and beautiful stories. She's so incredible and I have so much respect for her. Truly graceful and absolutely inspiring.

Jason T. Rail I remember that. She truly was an honest hard working appreciative human being. It was so much fun, except for the talking to I got from Mr. Ralston. Thanks for including me on that.!!!!! I miss you! Happy New Year.

Katrina Kemp My Beyonce moment was humbling too.... We met her at the cadillac records premiere (always huge fans of hers and we used to go red carpet crashing a lot) and she asked every single one of us what our name was and responded with her own then we asked for a photo and took a normal smiling one. I looked down at it after our friends dad took the photo (she also looked at it) and I said "ummm is it okay if we take one like this??" And I did the single ladies pose (it had JUST been released and hadn't gotten nearly as famous as it was about to) and she was like "huh??? OOOOHH!!! Yeah!! Hahahahah!!" And thus was born:

George Mercado I saw her once in an H&M and she was just as normal as could be; perusing and politely denying requests for photos, even explaining quickly that she was just shopping. I thought to myself, "Good for her."
