With the recent heavy waves of terrorism, racism, sexism and other - isms do you feel as if all of this is making things worse than better? For instance with extremism coming from retaliation, and further extremism to combat this just causing further harm. Usually extreme acts have often come to an end with a solution. But it seems everything this past decade has accumulated into worse things.
The Middle East and Africa yes. Most of Latin America and East Asia (without the already developed Japan and SK) are making progress. India either makes progress or goes backwards....
No? I mean, if you look back through history this is one of the more peaceful times the world has ever seen.
We're just becoming more AWARE of these -isms due to the Internet, social media, and the like. People are becoming conscious of issues that they'd never known on a global scale.

But you have to see that was relative to their time period. However now we live in a different world so we have to use things applicable to us.
So extreme acts today is just that extreme. But there's a limit to how far one can go.
Well it's how it always been, the world will CONSTANTLY go through dangerous and terrible situations, it won't stop as long as humans exist, and it's always been this way
The world has always been this extreme. It's always been full of strife, war, and violence. We're just exposed to it more because of the proliferation of social media.

No, the media has exaggerated things since 9/11. Tragic events that've occurred recently have been already committed before, only with minor differences.

no. if anything we are more civil than ever. open up a history book sometime and you will see had bad it used to be. I mean only a little over 100 years ago the US was at war with itself, we had slavery, hangings, genocide, disease. it was a mess. actually the world will always be a mess.
