If you had to remove ONE era from your fae's history?
What would you choose and why? Would you want your fave to remove that one flop or blemish in their album discog? Or do you absolutely hate a particular era?
For Mariah, it's obviously Glitter. The whole entire era was a mess, almost ruined her career and probably prevented her from having more #1's.

Without it, Avril wouldn't be forced to recreate Girlfriend as a lead single for future eras. She's jump right from UMS to Goodbye Lullaby, and would continue her singer-songwriter vibe, and smash on the Hot AC charts. And most of her fanbase wouldn't have jumped ship.
I've loved every one of Mariah's eras musically however, if I had to choose, I'd definitely pick Glitter. The era was a complete disaster even if I loved the music. It tarnished her legacy, reputation, and career. Thankfully TEOM happened and cemented her legacy.
MIAM was a disaster too but if Mariah wasn't going through a divorce with Nick and wasn't at war with her label, the era would've performed better tbh. Besides, it's also one of her best works yet so I would die if we never got the album.
Or Push and Shove, idk. I generally like the music from both, but they're soo messy.
