Harry's way more global
I grew up with Harry potter and it's massive and dear to me. Along with maybe James Bond it's probably the biggest franchise ever.
Star Wars is still bigger tho, Harry probably had a bigger peak with the books selling 500 million copies and grossing 7-8 billion through films.
But star wars has been slaying for 3 decades now and the merchandise it must've sold.
I would've said tie. But all the little kids are getting excited about Star Wars now, and the idea that it's gonna be impacting 3 generations is crazy .
Plus I think the new trilogy might end up grossing 3 billion and it'll then overtake Harry's film series as highest grossing franchise. (I don't count iron man+Thor+captain America + gotg+ hulk+ avengers all as one series.)
