This is a thread to discuss serial killers. Their murders, behaviour, the aftermath and everything else associated with their grisly crimes. I quite like having morbid discussions sometimes and I feel some other people on here probably do too.
I love watching crime documentaries and reading books about the subject, it fascinates me. Does anyone else do this too? Who are the people/what are the crimes that intrigue you the most?
As a side note, this isn't meant to be some creepy place where people worship serial killers, because eww no. I've seen that before on other websites and you can miss me with that .
Anyway, feel free to bring up different discussions .
Ugh, Ted Bundy. What gets me the most is how normal he appeared; you'd never think he was a serial killer just by looking at him, and that's absolutely fascinating. How most of his victims never saw it coming, because we tend to use people based on looks first and foremost, and he was handsome as **** so he obviously came across as harmless.
One thing that gets me is that asian boy who managed to run away from... Jeffrey Dahmer, I think? But the police sent him back with Dahmer, and the boy was killed. Mess.

I know, it's crazy! He seemed like an everyday, well-educated, middle-class person. He was very charismatic. I think he's a prime example that not all serial killers look like "monsters" or "odd" or whatever else people say.
Ugh, yes that's so sad! I remember reading about that. Like he escaped and was running down the street naked, bleeding and drugged. And yet some idiot Police officers thought it was okay to let him go back to Jeffrey!? They must have/will regret that for the rest of their lives .
Serial killers are fascinating to study. I took a college course on American Serial Killers years ago. It dealt with the backgrounds of the crimes, the forensics and some of the psychological aspects. That being said, I'd prefer to never encounter them.

If I knew less about crime and serial killers, I'd probably become a victim too. I've got daddy issues, and if a hot enough man told me to get in his van I probably would
Speaking of good looking... Rodney Alcala. Damn, the photos the police released are so haunting, especially the ones where the person hasn't been identified yet. For all we know we could be looking at their final day alive, it's so sad.

Mess, please don't ever do that sis. There's weirdos everywhere .
Yeah, I agree. There's something strange about seeing photos/videos of people that have been murdered. I sometimes wonder how their life would have turned out if it never happened to them.
Also did you see this video of Rodney Alcala when he was on a dating show in the 70's? That poor woman could have been murdered by him, but luckily she said she cut it off with him before that.

Have y'all ever thought that you may have saw or even spoken to a serial killer in real life but you just didn't know? Like they might still be out there and aren't caught.

That freaks me out.

Oh I live in the USA now. But there is still some serial killers lurking around probaly.
I think that Serial Killers these days get caught much faster than in the past. That is why you have ridiculous number of victims back in the day. These days with so much Police advancements, technology and good police database with DNA (at least in the USA) and much more stuff, it is harder for Serial Killers to get away that easily and kill too many people. That's my
