I think in America yes. But in the rest of the world, I don't see her doing like 5x platinum in France, Belgium, Germnay or other countries... But it is slaying right now!

No, so far Born This Way has been more successful. The only thing 1989 has on BTW is one more #1 single.

No. Unorthodox Jukebox was bigger and had an all-time chart entry as well as the superbowl halftime show.

UJ is at the same level as Red if you check the receipts (+6M ww) but the Red tour is bigger

Not when D&H and UJ exists. Once 2015 starts 1989 will start falling around the world. The album for example will not go & sell +600k in the UK or 500k in France & Germany. She will sell +300 in Japan, Australia & Canada which have always been her strongest markets and that is as far as she can go WW.

You cannot talk about the tour right now because Adele didn't tour ...

You forgot (1989 US sales):
- Highest first week;
- Highest second week;
- Highest third week;
- Highest fourth week;
- Highest fifth week;
- Highest sixth week;
- Highest seventh week
etc.
While about WW sales:
TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989
1. 1,681,000
1. 573,000
2. 445,000
2. 315,000
1. 380,000
2. 334,000
= 3,728,000
LADY GAGA - Born this Way
1. 1,921,000 [discounts make wonders]
1. 487,000
2. 302,000
2. 247,000
2. 221,000
3. 199,000
4. 154,000
= 3,531,000
Single wise, 1989 is bigger just because of two singles.
You were saying?
DW&H, UJ and Loud are bigger, but once she gets a 3rd WW smash (probably Style), yeah biggest era since 21.

BTW sold over 7million WW at least, and had a monster tour. Until 1989 does that then BTW is more successful I'm sorry to say.

Are we going to ingore Born This Way era with the 2 classics BTW and TEOG, 7M Albums sold WW, 10M selling single WW, 185M grossing tour
But I won't be surprised if 1989 surpass BTW, I can see 1989 being Tay's first era with a lot of longevity due to Style and other hit material on the album.

UJ has sold +4m WW outside the US whereas Red has sold 2m. So the success of the album WW was bigger.
