Where I live it would be:

Transit Commission Fare Collectors – They get a high salary (because it’s a unionized government job) for just sitting behind a booth. Some of them have even been recorded falling asleep on the job, which caused quite a stir here.

Teachers – They make a very high salary especially after a few years, despite very high competition and relatively low entry requirements for the job. Again the reason being it’s a unionized government job.

Registered Nurses

where? at least not here in Chile lol

I will be a certified Ontario Teacher by April. Time to retire when I'm 40.
I mean the benefits alone. Summer's off, paid sick leaves, etc.. Not to mention that they reach their upmost salary ceiling only after 5 years of teaching.

RNs make a lot of money, my good sis berberocka is going to earn $100,000 a year. Lord.

I agree TTC workers are overpaid. I wonder if Mississauga Transit follows the same pattern?

Stockbrokers/anyone who works in investments. Anyone who works in corporate oil.

may I ask where you live? I here in the Philippines, Inc teachers and nurses has one of the lowest salaries.

Not surprising since 99% of the Filipinos have a degree in nursing.

General doctors. Those ****ers are basically just a nurse that can prescribe medicine. Plus the nurses usually know more about the patient than they do

Nice! My cousin became a teacher in Ontario too a few years ago. Luckily, he got a FT position quickly at that time.

And yeah, TTC workers are way overpaid. I don't see that changing anytime soon unfortunately. Yet I bet they will continue to raise the fares.

I'll have to say far and beyond General Practitioners/Doctors. Sorry! The past year has proven that they are the ****ing pits. I was in the hospital every day the first six months this year and literally saw a Dr. maybe three times.

I think all nurses need to be paid double though. They really put a lot of work in.

Doctors have to study for almost 10 years inorder to get their positons and go through pre-med school which is almost 100k. They are certainly not overpaid.

they basically look after you when you are sick and their priority is to ensure that you will survive, on whatever the sickness or injury that got you into staying in a hospital.
