I'll say Enrique. He has 2 #1's in the U.S. and also has had success here this decade. "I like It", "Tonight I'm Loving You" were huge top 5 hits and "Bailando" was a decent top 20 hit just this year.

Shakira

That first one peaked at only #6 though...

Shakira. Enrique has a few number ones, but Shakira's albums and eras were much bigger, and he was irrelevant for most of the 00s.

That's mostly because the charts were biased for urban songs at the time.

But Enrique's "Hero" peaked at #3 that year sis...Not to mention it was one of 2002's biggest hits in the U.S.

Debatable, both are pretty similar touring, Shakira sells more albums but Enrique sells more singles.
Laundry Service was bigger and had more impact than any Enrique era so that gives Shakira the edge.

But it's 2014 now and Shakira has yet to score a hit this decade. Meanwhile Enrique has had 2 top 5 hits including a top 20 hit just this year. What's up with that?

Enrique is a bit generic. he jsut has some hits that are good for a month. shakira has classics!

It's not just about singles though, Laundry Service outsold Escape and Oral Fixation was 11x Plat (Latin Certification) and none of Enrique's Spanish albums were past 3x with those certs.

Most of Enrique's albums bombed, Shakira's album sales are much bigger.

Just look at social media alone. Shakira's presence is more profound then Enrique. Sure he may have more quick little hits but none are iconic.. Just quick disposable little songs. Shakira is a music icon even within the US with Latinos moreso then Enrique. All the tours Enrique does are always Co headlined usually never alone. Ww hdl alone obliterate Enrique US impact.

Shak has those album sales, social media numbers, major brand endorsements and was in America's living rooms twice a week on two seasons of the voice.
