Kim went platinum during a time where the music industry wasn't tanking. Hardly anyone goes legit platinum anymore. Like aren't Bey and Taylor (and maybe Coldplay) the only ones who have successfully done so. Also Kim's album chart peak was #4 and K debuted at #2 with Rebellious Soul. I mean Eve had 2 platinum albums back in her hey day too (I'm pretty sure Ruff Ryder's First Lady sold more than any Kim album or at least equal to Hard Core), but no one is calling her a legend.
If Kim was at her peak musically and tried to come back today, she couldn't.
Azealia can't mess with K. It's not even a competition.
