Like I'm trying to understand why they say charli new album is like electra heart? in what ways?
cause lyrically and message is not

and must say that it's like a pop punk record
but don't get the marina/ electra heart thing

Not sure. It's a stupid comparison though since Charli's music is actually good.

Marina stans think she invented balloons and prom dresses because they've never logged out of Tumblr long enough to know better.

She isn't copying her, especially since Electra Heart was so much better (IMO). Marina got a number one album out of her sophomore record so we'll see if Charli can "copy" that.

I need Charli to go back to making great stuff like True Romance, she shouldn't try to get popular bc it doesn't fit her IMO

Not sure why Selena was brought up considering she's bigger than both of them combined easily and it's not even in the same country. Marina and Charli's careers are also not that comparable because Marina focused on cracking the UK and has still done zero promo in the US while Charli failed with her first era everywhere (which is a shame because her music was so much bigger) and is now promoting in the US.

Either way, I don't think Charli is copying Marina and I think they've both declined musically with their new eras but that's just my opinion. Also, since it isn't an achievement to go #1 on an albums chart, I fully expect Charli to go #1!

Who is? legit Sucker's era is way different from Electra Heart's Era. Screaming even the music is nothing alike.

Electra Heart (conceptually) was basically a Cindy Sherman tribute album, so I don't think it matters at this point if Charli is copying her tbh.

i love both of them, and i dont get the comparisons AT ALL...Electra Heart was like an electro-pop album while Sucker is like '90s punk pop. maybe the visuals are a bit similar but even that's quite a reach?

It's really the Charli XCX fans making a big deal out of Marina/Charli comparisons for no reason..

It's not about the sounds. Their careers so far are just taking similar paths with an "alternative" first album and considerably more mainstream second one. Charli's recent tour looked very similar to the Electra Heart tour. That's all.

And before some Carly XBOX stan takes this offensively I love both of them a lot
