The New York Film Critics circle, announced their winners last Monday, they handed the Best Actress prize to Marion Cotillard over Julianne Moore, awarding her work in both the forthcoming belgium movie Two Days, One Night and the Weinstein Company-distributed The Immigrant. (They also gave The Immigrant’s Darius Khondji the prize for Best Cinematography.)
Last weekend, the Boston Society of Film Critics followed suit, giving the same surprizing split prize to Cotillard’s two 2014 performances.

The New York Film Critics Awards and
The Boston Society of Film Critics Awards are two big indicators of what's coming at the SAG awards and Oscars.
For example last year Cate Blanchett won both of those awards and she won later at the oscars.
All the serious and expert predictions site completely forgot about her, like most people actually just because she's french and not american.
On Goldderby for example she wasn't even top 20 last week and now she's #7, same for Ropeofsilicon from #15 to #4 in one week
There's even an article on Variety exposing the Weisten Company
The Weinstein Company completely axed The Immigrant from their Oscar campaign because of a fight with James Gray the director, they even released the film earlier this year with no support out of spite and now they backtracking.

UPDATE 12/9: At some point after this article’s publication on 12/8, The Immigrant was quietly added to the Weinstein Company’s For Your Consideration page. Yesterday afternoon, a TWC representative finally responded to our request for comment, though we are still awaiting that comment.
