Jane Eyre, even if the last 1/4 of the book or so is totally ridiculous

I love Wuthering Heights the book and also Merle Oberon who plays Cathy in 1939.

Jane Eyre. I despise Wuthering Heights.

Although I love Jane Eyre's fan fiction Wide Sargasso Sea.

this seems a dismissive term; it was a prequel that was very well-received and awarded.

edit: i say this because fan fiction is 99.9% of the time not published and to the contrary, this was.

anyways, i prefer jane eyre now. I used to prefer WH, but overtime i've come to favor the former.

wuthering heights

Jane Eyre, it broke some serious ground.

I only read Wuthering Heights and I hated it. Blech. I'll have to find Jane Eyre and give that one a quick read.

Jane Eyre by a mile. WH is so clumsy at times and most of the characters don't act like real human beings. They all need to calm it down.

Wuthering Heights is my favorite Bronte novel, for sure. However, the character Jane Eyre is probably my favorite Bronte character.

Wuthering Heights made me feel so many emotions, it is so inticrate, compex and Freudian. I can't. One of the best books ever. Jane Eyre is too preachy and Christian but I like how independent that woman is. Wuthering heights has a small edge over JE for me.

Wuthering Heights is better. I can't describe what I felt like reading it, it's so good.

Wuthering Heights is so wonderfully gothic and surreal, it's great. Jane Eyre is good, but not good enough to inspire legends to write songs about it.
