Hellman's, I've never heard of dukes.

It's Southern, but I just assumed that by now, you could buy it anywhere in the US. Maybe that's not so. When we lived up North, my mother used Hellmann's in her kitchen. When I moved down South, I tried Duke's in my chicken salad, on a whim, and after one forkful, I had to sit down and reevaluate my life. Helmann's has a sweetness to it. Duke's a little heavier on the vinegar, but has a creamier texture.

And for the g3rls West of the Rockies, Best Foods IS Hellman's.

Me, personally, I prefer Miracle Whip over Mayonnaise but Duke's is a southern tradition.
