I live in NM and I just
Cons:
1. It's a desert and is actually in far worse drought than y'all in Cali could imagine
2. Drug capital of the US
3. Highest rate of Police Shootings (Mostly in Albuquerque)
4. At the bottom (usually #49 or #50) of every education, income, and welfare list.
5. Hella corrupt Gov't
Bonus: A lot of the US doesn't even know we exist

Pros:
1. Green Chile (the best stuff ever, goes on burritos, pizzas, burgers etc)
2. Low cost of living ratios
3. Low prices for land
4. Nice mountains
5. Two nice cities, Santa Fe and Rio Rancho

Those cons

I don't even really think about it much except I think there's a lot of teenage pregnancies and drug problems

I kinda forget it exists but the scenery looks amazing.

Yeah it's nice to visit but living here is trash

Right in between Arizona and Texas
South of Colorado but north of Mexico(the country)

Pretty irrelevant, like Wyoming.

I've been to New Mexico and was taken back by the desert It was stunning. I did see a lot of trailer parks. It seems like a nice place tho Tyra Banks said her favorite place on earth was Santa Fe. She likes it.

Santa Fe has a mix of a lot of Mexican and American Indian culture, parts of it are very historic and pretty, others.. Not so much.. it is also the oldest US state capital technically (look it up)

And it has LOTS of shopping and turquoise jewelry

Eventually, I really want to see Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, etc.

We really do feel like the most irrelevant state too

When the governor elections were going on they literally said "We're tired of being a place people don't know about or are afraid of, we're tired of coming in at the bottom of the country"
