Movie sequels tend to be known as quick cash-grabs that don't live up to the quality of the original film, but there are cases of the sequel holding up to standards and managing to be good, and in some occasions, better than the first one.
So, what are some good examples of sequels that triumphed original projects?
In my opinion, Shrek 2 was much more enjoyable than the first Shrek, and Spider-Man 2 was a lot better than the first one; loved both of them, but the original was extremely corny in hind-sight.
