The president signed the bill February 20. Due to Finland's complex legal system some wrinkles have to be smoothed out to have equal marriage benefits so couples can't marry until March 1 2017. Well at least it's worth the wait

If no one gets in the way then weddings could start by March 2017 but the reason it would take that long is that gay couples would also get full adoption rights
