Have ATRL members become too sensitive? Are there too many rules and regulations for it to still be amusing?

I understand that trolls often pollute threads but referring to a celebrity with a well known nickname and stating your honest opinion on something that's currently being discussed isn't exactly harmful.

It feels like there's no freedom of speech on this forum, apart from in Stand Your Ground, which also appears to have its fair share of restrictions.

Yes everyone is sensitive as ****. Nothing can be a joke anymore or you're racist, homophobic, etc. It's bs

I think it is people are much more willing to report something than they used to be, and it might be due to sensitivity or it could be bitterness. I've seen people proudly proclaim their joy for getting a fellow member banned.

Yes, but what's the harm in getting a few wps?? If people were smart, they'd space out their warning point worthy posts so they don't get banned.

Yes, some of the mods abuse the heck out of their power and many ATRL users are ridiculously sensitive. If you're going to dish it out, then be prepared to take it too. Don't sit up there and report because you get dragged harder than you were expecting

Also don't go looking in every thread for shade against your fave just so you can report it. Pathetic.

Homophobia, racism, misogyny, etc. should not be tolerated and perhaps aren't socially acceptable but that doesn't mean that people aren't entitled to their own views, as long as they aren't directly harming anyone. Personally, I think that bigots are vile, but they're allowed to think what they want. It's not illegal to express one's own views.

I'm not talking about major political and societal issues, though.

Without ATRL and Twitter, I have no life? I'm pretty sure that I'd still be breathing, eating and ******** without social media. Considering that I've posted here less than 800 times in a three year period doesn't really help your claims.

But, anyway, if we could act like adults, and not like children with special needs, it would be appreciated.
