DELTA Goodrem and her fiance Brian McFadden have postponed their planned Christmas wedding, citing "increased work commitments".
McFadden, who is currently in Melbourne filming the new series of Football Superstar, said the couple was now looking at new possible dates in early 2010.
"We sat down to try and organise the wedding and we were thinking we're never going to get this wedding organised by Christmas," McFadden said.
"I know if we don't get married everyone is going to say there are problems because we pushed the wedding back.
"But we want to get married and take a nice block of time off, like three months, enjoy our families being there and have a nice honeymoon, not get married between gigs."
McFadden is about to launch a new music project called Wall Of Sound with former Savage Garden producer Rob Connolly while Goodrem is working on a new album.
Last year when Goodrem was based overseas they hardly spent anytime together – this year is different.
"Since Christmas we've only spent about one day apart which is great," he said.
"Hopefully the rest of the year it will be like that.
"I know she's going to go back to America and she's about to get knee deep into her new record, so we're planning every week as it comes."

this was Brians idea.. it was the first name that he suggested…although it was originally 'wall of sounds'.. with and 's'.
2. Is Brian putting his own solo stuff on hold for this band?
yes
3. Is it only Brian who will be the supporting act for NKOTB or is it the band?
it would have been the band.. but now it's no one
4. Was Robert in a band previously before forming Wall of Soundz?
I have been in a couple of bands.. one is 'specificus'… myspace.com/specificusmusic and a band called.. we are smug.. with darren hayes..
5. How long must we wait til we hear new snippets of their songs or actual full songs?
