New film to be set in World War II
Celebrity gossip: ShowBUZZ, shooting stars
BRITNEY Spears has a new project. It involves time machines and concentration camps.
No, we haven't stepped back in time to that umbrella incident. This time around, it really is for a role.
The Womanizer singer has a new film project in development called The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton, according to National Ledger.
The publication reports Spears will play the lead role of Sophia LaMont, a woman who creates a time machine, travels back to World War II when she meets a Jewish man named Eton at a concentration camp. The two then fall in love and travel back to the present day with the intention of getting married, but they are both killed by Nazis.
Right.
It's been seven years since her last film, Crossroads, but she's come a long way since then, what with her meltdowns and Lazarus-style comebacks, including a successful stint on TV's How I Met Your Mother and a cameo on Will & Grace.
She is expected to begin work on the new film after she completes her Circus world tour.
