Usher working with Max Martin and Disclosure for UR
Quote:
Ask Usher who he’s working with on his next album, and you get a list of collaborators including Skrillex, Ed Sheeran, uber-pop producer Max Martin, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and Disclosure (their last session done via Skype),
It's obvious that this is because his R&B songs flopped, but still I wish he would just stay true to himself instead of resorting to trying to be mainstream.
Pandering and desperate. *SMDH* Usher is capable of so much more than he thinks. Wish he'd go back to makint great albums instead of what he thinks will sound hot.

It'd be great if he was able to come up with flalwess rnb that was amazing but still mainstream enough to crossover like the confessions era all those songs are flawless but that retro funky **** he was serving was NOT the tea so I'm not upset he gave up on that tbh. he just needs a smash to start the campaign and I wouldn't call him desperate tbh the music industry is kinda messed up atm he gottta do what he gotta do to get that CD out tbh.
he said that he was working with Max Martin waaaay before the first 2 singles from 'UR' kinda flopped. that's not new info, so it's not necessarily in response to how things have gone so far.
but maybe he went back to record more songs with Martin now, who knows. it wouldn't be a bad move, by any means.
Wtf are you talking about his R&B songs flopped? His fans knew that he will work with Diplo/Skrillex even before he released 'Good Kisser' and 'She Came to Give it to You'....
I think Disclosure will give him excellent material. Max Martin though, probably not
This reminds me of Shakira's album. She was in the studio with Skrillex too but that never ended up being a thing.
