Partly. The same can be said about a lot of the unjust hate that Bush received(he sucked, but the global economic crash was not his fault).
That being said, he must be given credit for what he has done that has impacted our current position.
-For one, while republicans were calling for austerity, the President rebuked it. Look at Europe, the countries that committed themselves to deep austerity haven't benefited much from it.
-His controversial auto-bailout helped save the U.S. auto industry, while the Republicans wanted to leave it for dead.
-Even Healthcare costs are experiencing a historic slowdown in rate increases, thanks to Obamacare.
Yall have no thanks. 
We need Obama after the messy Harper years over here.
