Discussion: Why is antisemitism okay on ATRL?

I see people always coming after stars and dragging for appropriating a culture in their videos.

Miley twerking = racist, appropriating black culture
Katy in cornrows= same thing
Scott disick dressing up as a sheik= approbating a culture

ETC

Now these can be seen as done in poor taste and wrong, but the people on here drag them to hell and rip them bit by bit saying how they are terrible people for doing so. Now in the new nicki thread those people are saying its a GREAT video and that people are overreacting.

Hitler and the Nazis killed 6 million jews and homosexuals and many other ethnic groups. The fact that people are defending her use of this symbolism is disgusting and i honestly can't get over it. It is an anti-Semitic nazi propaganda film and should be condemned. But if antisemitism is okay with some members....

Yes, the lyric video is visually stunning in like the way that it's animated ect. But, the theme and whole concept is ****ing disgusting.

She wants the attention based on the imagery of her last music video and the single cover of Lookin Ass.

I doubt it's okay but people on ATRL have shown different views not only on antisemitism but on the definition of racism, religion and feminism as well.

There will always be people you'd come across with who'll have a different view of a topic based on how they were raised, history, real-life experiences and location.

The bottom line is, antisemitism isn't acceptable but the way people interpret the lyric video will be different from your interpretation.

Because calling out 'antisemitism' is not the 'in' thing yet.

Racism, or any kind of discrimination, is wrong, no debate about it. But within our society, certain things are still more accepted than others, even if they are all wrong. You would be called out, and rightly so, if you said anything remotely offensive/generalizing/stereotyping about black people. But you would get less pitchfork from people for being racist/hateful towards Jews/Asians/transgenders, even if they admit that it's just as wrong.

Make a joke out of Jewish thriftiness = cool, witty joke. Make fun of Asian nerdiness/penis size = amusing, but hey. Saying black people are better athletes = OMG ****ING RACIST ARREST HIM.

This is why I'm very skeptical of all this social justice wagon. It doesn't stem from the basic kindness everyone should have, but from the tides and currents of the time. People will jump on whatever is passing through.

I literally just saw the lyric video and that was extremely tacky and incredibly distasteful

The fact that the same people who were dragging Iggy over "runaway slave master" are defending Nicki is a kii. I love Nicki, and will stan her to death of me, but I literally can't defend this or try to provide any excuse as to why it's ok. This was just bad. ESPECIALLY seeing as how Drake is Jewish

She really needs to delete the video and give out an apology.
