V: Who are some of your musical influences that people might be surprised about? NM: One of my biggest is Enya. There are two records early in the album where the airiness and the whimsicalness remind me of Enya, and I sort of crafted it thinking about her and the way her music makes me feel.
Enya is on a heavenly level, and I'm surprised Minaj is influenced by her because so far her music has been 100% polarizing as opposed to Enya. I'd be interested to hear the tracks she is talking about though.
