from school and a language center when i was young
these days, from my boyfriend, with English accent

I live in England so it's my first and, ashamedly, my only language

I lived in the US on the East Coast for 5 years.

This thread probably isn't directed at people whose arterial language is English; but, I learned it at school and through television.

I learned it at school, and by watching tv and being on the internet.

I've learned it at school since 2nd or 3rd grade I think. Now they start in 1st grade though. Also from music, movies, tv anything tbh English is everywhere in Norway.

TV, especially Charmed & will&Grace.

I'm English sadly. Trying to learn Spanish is such a challenge.

School like 8 years ago but I wasn't really good.
I've learned a lot because of Gaga's songs / interviews & Twitter.

Well, I have studied it at school for at least 5-6 years, but what actually taught me was Cartoon Network (pre-2004), then the Pokemon games + of course spending half of my life since 2004 on the internet. Also watching countless TV series (without subtitles )

Well I never actually took english classes aside from High School in which I was kind of okay lol but my real techer was TV, Movies and Music

My english is very flawed tho

I try my best to extend my english skills all the time, a big dream of mine is to be able to study in america in 4 years.

Selena (Quintanilla - not Gomez) learned to speak Spanish phonetically. She covered a lot of Spanish songs when she was a teen. This might be an example for you? Don't give up!

High school class, reading books, movies, music.

But isn't my official language and still don't master it.

On the internet, idk.

The streets. Where I learned everything else.

Same way I learned French. From birth.
