Part of Adele's appeal was that she wasn't the typical pop star. Her songs got played by radio and she performed places, but she wasn't constantly promoting and overexposing herself to the public. Her album sold and she caught on in a big way because she wasn't constantly trying to milk her album for sales.
If she goes the promo route that Taylor just did, Adele risks turning off a lot of the people she appealed to in my opinion. The best route would be to go for a slow build again, minimal fanfare, but a constant presence.

She will pull a sophomore Norah Jones (basing off acclaim and success) just more bigger and ginormous considering her singles success and appeal and the hype. NOT TO mention didnt her follow up music was Amazons biggest preorder product or something reported back then?
