My second favorite of Aretha's tunes after "Until You Come Back To Me". The song was penned solely by Aretha Franklin and became a big hit for her. It hit #5 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during the spring of 1972, as well becoming another million-seller for Franklin. It has since been covered by many artists as well as being one of Aretha's most prominent hit songs. Let's appreciate this 42 year old tune .
He's the kind guy that'll say
Hey baby, let's get away
Let's go someplace ohh
Where I don't caaaarree
aaaarre-aarr-arrrrr-arr-aarr-ar-ar-aaa-aaarreee...
Young, Gifted, and Black is def among her top albums. Every song is amazing! All The King's Horses, Rock Steady, Border Song, First Snow In Kokomo, everything.

YG&B is my favorite Aretha album, Rock Steady is one of those songs with a groovy bassline that just gets you moving. It was another top 10 hit for her in '71.
