If the average face price ticket stays around the $90 it was during “Red,” and assuming a 60,000 average capacity for stadium shows and 20,000 capacity for arena shows, the already-announced dates could gross over $160 million across roughly 1.8 million potential tickets. Adding in a leg of confirmed, but unspecified Australian dates that will be played in December following the conclusion of the North American dates, “1989″ could potentially gross over $200 million.
In just six Australia and New Zealand dates during “Red,” Swift grossed just under $18 million. On those dates, Swift became the first female solo artist to headline a national stadium tour in Australia since Madonna in 1993. Playing 12 shows in Australia at the end of the tour, the “1989″ gross would already be around the impressive $200 million mark. This is also without including an Asian tour dates, in which she played seven shows and grossed $10 million in 2013.
Since the start of 2010, 14 tours have grossed over $200 million with the U2 360 Tour being the highest grossing tour of all-time with a $736,421,584 gross. Of those 14 tours, only three have been by female solo artists. In 2012, Madonna’s “MDNA” Tour grossed $305 million over 88 shows, Lady Gaga grossed $227 million on her “Monster Ball” Tour and most recently Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter” Tour grossed $229 million over 132 shows from 2013-14. Surpassing a $200 million gross would put Swift among not only the most successful female performers, but most successful acts overall in at least the past decade.

Oh, there was never any question about it. Given enough dates, she definitely would have
regardless of 1989's record breaking sales. She's established herself as a touring success.
Legend. I expect the tour will have additional legs too, since May 2015 - December 2015 is considerably shorter than the Red tour (unless she just plans to relax more between albums this time).
Her arena shows won't average 20,000 per show and her stadiums wont average 60,000 per show (not diminishing her, just most of the areans and stadiums wont hold that much in concert settings) so a little inflated.
She has insane touring power though, so 200M should easily be achievable!
