Gurl Russia is getting on my last nerve. I think a time is coming very soon when Russia will really need to watch its back.
Russia's Apple monument dismantled after Tim Cook comes out as gay
An iPhone monument erected in memory of Steve Jobs has been taken down in Russia after Apple's current CEO Tim Cook came out as gay.
The St. Petersburg memorial was dismantled on Friday (October 31), just one day after Cook stated that he is "proud to be gay".
A group of companies known as ZEFS erected the statue in January 2013, but have said that it now goes against the country's "gay propaganda" laws.
"In Russia, gay propaganda and other sexual perversions among minors are prohibited by law," ZEFS explained, adding that the monument was "in an area of direct access for young students and scholars".
"After Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly called for sodomy, the monument was taken down to abide to the Russian federal law protecting children from information promoting denial of traditional family values."
One of the politicians behind Russia's "gay propaganda" laws, Vitaly Milonov, has campaigned for Cook to be barred from entering the country over his sexuality.
Well, a bus driver in the UK kicked out a gay couple the other day but I don't remember y'all hating much as much as you are on Russia (not that I agree with their acts towards gays but they're not the only ones)
They are ****ing laughable. In Europe everyone is changing for renewable energy. They will be lucky if anyone wants their gas in a few years time. Russia is near the end.
Such a joke. It really is disturbing that that is what they seem to be mostly worried about.
As a quote says, children, what they say and see, and the ideas they formulate (such as on homosexuality) are not what we should be afraid of, Its the adults that are the most damaging and corrupting
