Giving partners 50/50 rights on this matter would happen in an ideal would but it would be problematic (if the dad wanted an abortion you couldn't force the woman to have one kicking and screaming + if the dad wanted to keep the baby again, you couldn't force the woman to keep it).

Not true. I mean it's arguable, but it's also the man's child. There's better things to do with the child than kill it. I'm not saying abortion is wrong, I'm just stating the man has a say.
