Not at all. Game of the year nomination lists since 2011 have been:

- AAA Big Publisher game X6
- A couple indie games
- A toxen Nintendo game

It's all very co-ordinated. There are some unbiased outlets. But the most follow this structure.

I have no idea what will win this year... There hasn't been a blatant standout like TLOU last year. Seems like the only hugely acclaimed games were Nintendo games but I don't see any of them on the list as previous winners.
