I love this show so much. It's literally one of the greatest sitcoms ever. I've recently gotten back into it this year and I watch the show on WE and Hallmark every weekday. I watched every episode of the spin-off, The Golden Palace, but the show just wasn't the same without Bea. Also, I don't think I could ever choose a favorite out of the 4 of them. They all were so unique. Though, the one thing I hated about Blanche's character was how selfish she could be at times. It really got on my nerves. Oh, and I loved the way she deluded herself about how old she really was.
Anyway, I'm so glad we have many GG fans here on ATRL.
My favorite character is without a doubt Sophia, I like Rose too, but I think they made Betty White's character a little TOO dumb. The Golden Girls is still in syndication, on WeTV & Hallmark channel in the U.S, Lifetime used to air it, until their contract with the show expired. The show lasted for 7 seasons, the reason the show ended was because Bea Arthur wanted to leave.
