They are just puppets, they are the faces of a product they have little involvement in.
For example MDNA made just a tad more than their tour yet madonna raked 130M during that period
Gaga's BTWB made 100M less yet she raked 90M during that period.
If an artist is involved then he has more credits and he'll get more coins, if he is just a puppet then he'll still get money but most of the cash will go to others, the ones doing the job
