Why do black people call each other brother and sister
Why do black people call friends brother and sister. Do any of ya'll do this, is it common?
I just notice with friends and its often portrayed on TV so I'm curious
I'm sorry but I've been called "brother" a lot more by white men than my black counterparts . Espically when patronizing a "white" small business or mom & pop shop .
Black people often have tighter knit communities than white people.
When you were growing up the random woman who isn't even related to you but your Mum knows is your Aunty.
You just get used to referring to all your black friends as family.
I actually don't know if half of my family members are actually my family members.
My family is always having debates over whether someone is really related to us despite the fact that we call each other cousins, uncles, nephew etc,.
We're all products of the mother land and since your people stole us and brought us to this ****** country we don't know our exact origins and ancestry tbh

Omg this is so true. I grew up calling this woman my aunt and when I grew up I found out she was in fact not related to me
