Warren Buffett bets on Hillary Clinton to win in 2016
Quote:
Warren Buffett is willing to put money on Hillary Rodham Clinton running for president — and winning the 2016 race.
“Hillary is going to run,” the billionaire investor said at the Most Powerful Women Summit sponsored by Fortune magazine. “Hillary is going to win.”
Bold pronouncements coming from the Oracle of Omaha? Buffett said he “will bet money on it.”
The former secretary of State has said she’ll decide sometime late this year or early next whether she’ll make a second White House bid.
Buffett has been on Clinton’s bandwagon for sometime, telling CNN after the 2012 elections that there isn’t anybody who is better qualified for the job.
He actually supported Clinton and Barack Obama during the 2008 race, and then donated $65,000 to Obama’s Victory Fund after Obama won the Democratic nomination. The Buffalo News, which is owned by Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway holding company, already endorsed Clinton — practically right after the 2012 elections.
