Pussycat Dolls were maybe the closest thing to Spice Girls as they were the biggest girl group of the 2000's (along with Destiny's Child), but they weren't as big as the Spice Girls, so it doesn't seem right to compare them.

Yes. They were huge for a girl group & seemed to be everywhere. "Don't Cha" had a pretty big impact as well, it's still widely referenced to this day.
