Christina Aguilera could be swopping singing for acting in a new project - a film that focuses on a modern day burlesque dancer.
E! reports that the movie (titled Burlesque) is written and directed by Steve Antin and shooting will commence in January 2010.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, Aguilera is reportedly interested in the role - as is Julianne Hough - who is being eyed for the part of a pregnant showgirl.
