I was thinking just the opposite. I came into this thread rolling my eyes, thinking "ugh, ANOTHER one, of the EXACT same formula?" as this is really common in 2nd sequels. Taken 2 was the exact same plot of Taken. The Hangover 2 was the exact same plot as The Hangover. And most recently, 22 Jump Street was the exact same plot as 21 Jump Street (however they did it in a tongue-in-cheek way by breaking the fourth wall and constantly referencing the fact that it was "exactly the same as last time, but with a bigger budget" so they were paying themselves out)
Anyway, my point is, this trailer was pleasantly surprising. No one actually got take, thank god. It looks like they're going to go deeper into his character while the antagonists of the first two films come back for revenge.
