Nicole Scherzinger lines up purrfect role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats

The singer, X Factor judge and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger will make her West End debut this winter as Grizabella in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats. The role sees her follow in the paw prints of performers including Elaine Paige, who originated the role in the West End in 1981, and Betty Buckley, who subsequently played the part on Broadway.
Grizabella, the “glamour cat”, does not feature in TS Eliot’s collection Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, which provided the inspiration for the musical.
