Ive heard numerous heterosexual females claim that they have perfect gaydar and can spot a gay man from miles away, when in reality they are just 'exposing' the obvious and basing who is gay off of stereotypes of what a gay man is, while I feel like actual gay people can spot another gay through more subtle things.

Anybody can have gaydar really, it's more about being able to notice subtle body/eye movements and things like that. And just like not all gay men have gaydar, not all straight people are clueless when it comes to noticing when someone is gay.

There's no such thing as a gaydar.
My best mate is gay, and I once told him I was worried about another guy being too friendly with my GF, he told me that he was 1000% sure this dude was gay.
Turn out I still had my doubts so I kept my caution, next thing I know my GF tells me this guy asked her out.

Gaydar isn't a tangible thing so saying "it doesn't exist" doesn't even make sense
It's just a term to refer to people noticing behavior/mannerisms commonly associated with homosexual people

Straight girls with "gaydar" are definitely just relying on stereotypes. Like thanks, I can identify Frankie Grande as a gay man too. I think gay men are going to be a lot more in tune with the sort of subtle behavior/interactions that go past stereotypical surface traits.

well, it does exist. i think we can all relate when i say that i stare at people i find hot. so in that way you can see who/what somebody likes.

probably because the person that they realize is gay is extremely flamboyant and feminine (nothing wrong with that)

its just stupid when straight people think they have gaydar, acting as if they are sherlock holmes when in reality they are just using the negative stereotypes that they are fed from other straight people/media on who is obviously gay

ATRL improved my gaydar so much.

Even for gays its difficult to master the ancient skill known as the Gaydar, I highly doubt straights have a clue on how to use it.

How? half of the members on here think that the popular football star quarterback in their school is downlow gay and wants to freak them because they held eye contact for 2 seconds or he asked them for a pencil.

How? Everyone here suspects everyone else of being gay; ATRL has the most busted gaydar ever.

Being around so many gay guys has taught me some of the subtle behavior that I otherwise wouldn't have noticed
