Austin: "The Secret was only a little side project"
Quote:
"The Secret was kind of like a little side project, basically," he explains. "I was putting it out just to get some more material out there, 'cause I just had a few songs out at the time. I wanted to get more music out, and the style I was going for was more of that NSYNC, Backstreet Boys vibe, 'cause I knew a lot of the older girls like that, so I wanted to get some older fans as well. So I just put that out there for everyone and I definitely get a lot more people who have tweeted me and Facebooked me saying, 'I've become an Austin Mahone fan now. I see he's trying new styles and new things.'"
His career is really odd and I feel his management should never agreed to let him say this statement. I mean he released a few singles, then released a random Japanese EP, released an other few singles, added a few of those on his The Secret EP either as regular track or bonus, and also still has standalone singles beside it.
I really see potential in him, but it's obviously that he and his team are still trying to find a niece market for him, but it's taking a bit too long imo. At this point he should have released his debut and be busy with a 2nd effort.
