What is your hair type and your hair regimen? If you know your hair type further, feel free to include that as well (porosity, density, length etc). Pictures if you feel like it.
I'm a 3A/3B and I have low porosity hair so its a bit hard for me to find deep conditioner that works, if you have any suggestions for some lightweight or low porosity leave in, I'd appreciate it.
I have very dry scalp and my hair is oily. So I use cocoanut oil daily and grapeseed oil when after washing. Givanni products work very well too.
A big thing with my hair is i have mixed hair so one part is straight and the rest is very curly so i have to either curl or straighten it (yes its that bad)
3B, low porosity, caucasian hair. I like mixed chicks leave-in conditioner + aloe vera gel/any styling milk/sometimes my mother's moroccain oil if I don't have my cheap silicone anti-frizz stuff kicking around. Going to switch to Kinky Curly Knot Today once I finish this round of mixed chicks, and maybe throw in an off brand styling lotion. Occasionally I'll use ORS replenishing conditioner as a protein treatment to deep condition but my hair is more desperate for moisture than protein. I switch between sulfate-free shampoo and regular cheap shampoo often. I also squish to condition and plop with a cotton t-shirt. My hair is actually too long for a microfleece turban so thank god for this method. Sometimes I'll skip the plopping method (people without curly hair must be so confused) and just use a diffuser, holding my strands as straight as possible while I diffuse it, trying to lengthen out the curls a bit.
I've heard Shea Moisture is really good for people with low porosity but I could be wrong. I like heavier conditioners to lengthen my curls out/give them more body.
What have you tried so far?
edit: also I have tried the curly girl method/co-washing and my hair does not like it. My hair used to be very dry though... it's much healthier now but I am still practically incapable of having greasy hair, it's my superpower.
I don't know much about hair types but I know have really really thick hair and I can't style my hair the way I'd like it because it really does what it wants
I have 4c. However, if my hair is long enough and I feel like it, I can use eco styler to make my hair look like corbin bleus which is like 4a. My hair soaks up everything. So it gets dry real easy. So I was with conditioner every morning and nights and put in some grease/leave in conditioner in my hair to keep my hair hydrated and looking healthy. The once to twice a week (typically Sundays) I'll was my hair with an actual shampoo.
