The movie ends with the fact that everyday 6,000 people are newly infected every day with HIV/AIDS ...So, why do we care so little about this ? itīs because itīs dated to talk about it?
It's no longer a death sentence. Completely manageable if you can afford it (or get assistance, I suppose.) I just Googled around and saw people (including doctors) saying it's more manageable than diabetes. Infection rates among gay men (men who have sex with men, if you want to get technical) are/have been going up for a while because of this.
If we somehow went back to all dying from it then people would care, but that probably won't happen.
You need to know what you're getting yourself into when you hook up with someone. That's why ****** are running around here like the Walking Dead now, mad at the world for what they could've avoided.

another thing is the straight people that only care in not to be pregnant and they saw HIV like something from the past ( At least my female friends )
I find that, from my experience, people who don't "care" to talk about or think about it are those who are living recklessly (unsafe sex all of the time).
HIV is turning in to a chronic condition that can be medically managed. So the conversation around it is changing. I think much more could be done in prevention in the schools and community outreach to inform adolescents about healthy sexual choices. At least in my state, pregnancy/abstinence is the focus on sex education and other aspects of sexual health get glossed over.
